Student Arts Council

Visit Group Website

The Student Arts Council serves as a bridge between UAB Visual and Performing Arts (Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Arts, Alys Stephens Center, ArtPlay, Arts in Medicine) and the general student population. Comprised of both majors and non-majors in the arts, the organization provides a pathway for students to engage with the Birmingham community at large in a meaningful way.

Student Arts Council members participate in marketing, event planning, and educational interpretation skills as they advocate for the arts. From theatre tech to art curation, students will gain more insight and knowledge to the range of careers available in the arts.
