The Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, or SAACS at UAB for short, is a service and interested-based organization. SAACS focuses on giving back to Birmingham through science education demonstrations to underprivileged communities, and also puts on various events for the UAB community such as guest lectures, social events, and even virtual educational seminars.
