Maternal & Child Health Student Association
The tagline for the Maternal & Child Health Student Association, or MCHSA (formerly MCH SAGE), is "sharing MCH knowledge and experience." "MCH" stands for "Maternal & Child Health," which focuses on addressing, in an interdisciplinary manner, the complex public health problems affecting the well-being of women, children & families so that ALL are healthy & thriving. We are undergraduate & graduate students from different schools on campus, all with a shared interest in MCH. The purpose of MCHSA is to enrich and enhance our education; provide opportunities to create relationships between faculty, students, and community stakeholders; promote the field of MCH within our University and throughout our community; and facilitate member interaction, involvement, and leadership development through advocacy, community service, and networking. We host monthly meetings, educational events like seminars, community service and advocacy events, fundraising, and social and networking events.
