The First Blazer Peer Mentor program is a student leadership opportunity designed to provide peer-to-peer support for new and incoming first-generation students. This group of dedicated students is committed to serving fellow first-generation college students through one-on-one and group mentoring.  Peer Mentors are selected each spring in coordination with the Office of Student Involvement & Leadership's Student Leader Selection process. The First Blazer Peer Mentors support first-gen students in transitioning to life at UAB by assisting them in accessing important resources, making connections, and building community.
