Women in Medicine: "Fresh Starts: Building a career at a new institution as junior faculty"
Wednesday, November 16, 2022 4pm to 5pm
About this Event
The transition from training to independence in careers in medicine and science is challenging, and often more so when navigating a new institution. A panel of junior faculty in the DOM will discuss their personal experiences with this time of transition, focusing on identified challenges and potential solutions. We encourage not only junior faculty, but also trainees soon to be in this position, as well as more senior faculty having experienced this position, to come and share their perspectives in the discussion.
Panelists:
- Dr. Patricia Ajayi-Fox (MD), Division of Gastroenterology
- Dr. Julienne "Julie" Carstens (PhD), Division of Hematology/Oncology
- Dr. Carla Copeland (MD), Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, & Critical Care
- Dr. Bailey Lipham (MD), Division of Rheumatology
