The Virtual UAB TechConnect Computer Science Networking Fair is a career event for computer science students seeking employment and internship opportunities in the tech industry.
To meet with employers, make sure to sign up to attend the employer group sessions or 1:1 sessions.
Here is a checklist to help you get prepared:
- Make sure you sign up for sessions with the employers you are interested in. Click here for instructions on how to sign up for sessions.
- Prepare your 30-second elevator pitch.
- Upload your resume to Handshake so recruiters have it on hand for your session.
- Attend the fair in a quiet area with no distractions to have the best career fair experience
- If you need to rent professional attire free of charge, utilize the Career Closet in Hill Student Center room 307 during office hours.
- Connect with recruiters on LinkedIn after the session!
- Email recruiters a thank you note after your session, thanking them for meeting with you.
