UAB Center for Exercise Medicine (UCEM) Annual Symposium

Focus: Exercise and Aging

The 2023 UCEM symposium is co-sponsored by the UAB Nathan Shock Center (NSC)Birmingham/Atlanta VA Geriatric Research Educational and Clinical Center (GRECC) and the Integrative Center for Aging Research (ICAR).

Highlights:
1) External and internal speaker presentations on the following sessions: 

  • Exercise and Aging Physiology
  • Clinical Exercise Interventions
  • Exercise and Skeletal Muscle Aging

2) Networking sessions
3) Flash talk and poster presentation competitions for interested attendees. Travel awards for students and trainees.

Focus - Basic, clinical, translational, and population science that are broadly related to one or more of the following: exercise medicine, aging and geroscience.

Registration is free but required.
We will provide lunch and hors d'oeuvres on September 11.
On September 12, we will provide breakfast and lunch.
