Why: To convene as a virtual community to share updates on our UAB Learning Health System (LHS) and hear from LHS leaders at other academic medical centers.
What: UAB is on a journey to develop and implement LHS principles throughout our health system. The five-week series includes presentations from national experts and panel discussions with UAB Health System leaders. Attendees will hear about:
- Improving Surgical Outcomes of Care
- The OneFlorida data repository that UAB is now a part of
- How Accountable Care Teams are improving care within UABHS
- The application of a learning health system model to improve care for patients with acute kidney injuries.
- Tips on sustaining a collaborative learning health system
Who: LHS month is geared towards healthcare providers and administrators, as well as investigators across the career arc who are interested in using health system data in their research and/or conducting research in the UAB Health System. All are welcome to attend and learn.
