Join us as UAB celebrates the 35th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) - a landmark civil rights law - signed by President George H.W. Bush - on July 26, 1990 - that has transformed the landscape of accessibility and opportunity for individuals with disabilities.

This special event will:

  • Celebrate 35 years of progress for those with disabilities
  • Recognize the work and impact of UAB's Disability Support Services (DSS) / ADA office
  • Highlight UAB’s ongoing campus-wide commitment to accessibility for students, faculty, staff, and the Birmingham community

Celebrate with us as we reflect on the importance of this law and look ahead to the future.
