Students - Did you know that according to the U.S. Labor Bureau, 70% of all jobs are acquired through networking?

Career fairs are your opportunity to network, build relationships, with employers who are specifically looking to recruit at UAB! Whether you are getting a feel for some of the career paths available to you, looking for postgraduate jobs, or seeking internships, the UAB Spring Career Fair is your chance to meet with recruiters and hiring managers. It is never too early or too late to attend a fair and build your professional network.

Student check-in is just outside of the Hill Student Center Ballrooms on the 3rd floor.

Questions about how to prepare? Please see below:

  • Schedule a time with the UAB Career Center to review your resume - and bring copies of your resume to the fair!
  • Plan ahead to wear professional attire (check out the UAB Career Center Career Closet if you need business attire!)
  • Use Handshake to research the companies who are attending as well as general information about these organizations
  • Complete your Handshake profile for employer follow-up
  • Practice your answer to the question "tell me about yourself" - this can highlight key aspects of your education, major, career interests, and other factors that can help an employer understand what sets you apart

Please contact the UAB Career Center with questions about this event. Go Blazers!
