UAB Solar House Tours and Monarch Butterfly Celebration

Join UAB Sustainability as part of the 26th Annual ASES National Solar Tour to learn about the features of the UAB Sustainable Community! This event will include ongoing tours of the community, a vintage market featuring vintage jewelry and clothing and House Plant Collective, a native plant sale held by Recreative Natives, birdhouse gourd painting hosted by ArtPlay, live music by the UAB Jazz Combo, and Hero Donuts while supplies last.
The UAB Solar House has a certified Monarch Waystation to support the migration of the endangered Monarch Butterflies to and from Mexico. We will be giving away milkweed seeds, the host plant of the Monarch, to encourage the community to create more habitats for the butterflies.
This event is free and open to the public.
