UAB trumpet faculty, are happy to announce clinics by Professor Wiff Rudd (Professor of Trumpet at Baylor University) and Dr. Anthony Kirkland (Professor of Trumpet at Mississippi State University).
A highlight of the Symposium are the High School Honors Trumpet Ensembles, which basically are “Honor Bands for Trumpet.” The students prepare pieces for performance in an all-trumpet environment, where they can learn specific techniques involved with improving listening and ensemble skills. The honors ensembles are open to all motivated trumpet players of high school age, with the recommendation email from their directors (please send to jzingara@uab.edu).
$60.00 registration fee covers 3.5 hours of instruction, 3 clinics, a Friday evening faculty recital, a medal, and a UAB Trumpet Symposium T-Shirt.
