DESCRIPTION:All members of the UAB community interested in using the UAB Li
 braries' 3D printers must complete 3D printer training before submitting f
 iles to be printed or using the filament-based 3D printers. This session i
 s recommended for beginners and individuals who have never used a 3D print
 er before. No previous experience with 3D printing is required and no addi
 tional software is needed to begin 3D printing during this session. Laptop
 s will not be provided at this session. Attendees are welcome to bring the
 ir own laptops or mobile devices.\n\nThis session will cover the following
  topics:\n\nReview of the UAB Libraries 3D Printing Guidelines Safety requ
 irements for 3D printing spaces in the UAB Libraries\, including location 
 of first aid and spill kitsAvailable printer hardwareIntroduction to filam
 entsIntroduction to terminology for 3D model features and print settingsAc
 cess to the browser-based system 3DPrinterOSThe process for setting up and
  submitting prints in 3DPrinterOSAll participants will be asked to review\
 , certify\, and submit the UAB Libraries 3D Printing Guidelines electronic
 ally via Adobe Sign. Failure to certify and submit the guidelines through 
 Adobe Sign will result in a user's access being blocked in 3DPrinterOS.
