UAB Firsts: Celebrating African American Trailblazers

Attendees will review the process of campus integration and move into the firsts (first African American students, faculty, student organizations, faculty organizations, etc.) and into the post-1969 years when UAB became an independent university. The discussion will consist of various firsts up to the present times.
Our special guest will be Timothy Pennycuff, Associate Professor & University Archivist.
