While health outcomes in rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases have improved over the past two decades, overall, research suggests that significant disparities persist by race/ethnicity, socioeconomic status, residence, and access to healthcare insurance, with certain vulnerable populations remaining significantly understudied. This symposium seeks to address these issues. Presentations and panel discussions include experts and thought leaders in rheumatic and musculoskeletal disease disparities from across the nation, as well as a special message from Congresswoman Terri A. Sewell.
