Since launching in 2023, this event has raised over $20,000 and united more than 1500 participants and 200 volunteers in support of the UAB Veterans Relief Fund — a critical resource for student veterans and dependents facing unexpected hardships.
Whether you're a runner, walker, rucker, stroller, or wheelchair racer — all are welcome. Lace up to celebrate the 107th anniversary of Armistice Day, and join UAB Veteran Services in continuing a proud tradition that began right here in Birmingham in 1947.
Together, let’s show our veterans they are seen, valued, and supported — not just on Veterans Day, but every day.
Registration is currently open and available to all UAB staff, faculty, students and community members. All 5K participants will receive an event t-shirt and finisher medal in their race packet.
