All incoming freshmen are asked to join us for an exciting new UAB tradition—the UAB Freshman Common View! This event is hosted by the Blazer Core Curriculum.

This year’s film is Join or Die, an inspiring film about community and connection. You will have an opportunity to attend a free screening of the film in the beautiful Jemison Concert Hall and to meet the filmmaker, Pete Davis, who will be joining us in person for live Q&A sessions with students.

The film will be part of a variety of Blazer Core classes, and students will have the opportunity to pursue a variety of projects and experiences that connect to the film’s theme throughout the school year. Join your classmates for this unique and important opportunity to kick off your college career.

This event is only for incoming UAB freshmen. There are two showings of the film; both of these will feature Q&A sessions with the filmmaker.
