'Try Harder!' Department of Surgery Private Movie Screening

This is a past event.

Join us for a screening of award-winning documentary Try Harder! and a Q/A session with Director Debbie Lum. Colleagues, students, alumni, staff, family and friends are all welcome to attend. Please be sure to RSVP.

This movie uniquely demonstrates the pressures that high-achieving students face in order to succeed. As educators and trainers of future surgeon scientists, it is important that we see and understand these pressures, specifically on behalf of minoritized students.

"In a world where cool kids are nerds, seniors at Lowell High share the dream – and the stress – of getting into a top university."
