A mysterious young woman has arrived in the kingdom claiming to be a princess. The Queen and the Prince are skeptical. Will a night’s sleep prove that she truly is not royalty? Join us to explore this popular fairy tale.

UAB Theatre Department’s production of “The Princess and the Pea” is a magical and enchanting performance that captures the imagination of young viewers and brings the fairytale to life in a fun and engaging way.

This production can be a part of ArtPlay’s “A Day in the Arts” Initiative. “A Day in the Arts” is an additional opportunity to explore the arts at UAB and lengthens your field trip. Students may explore the visual arts from Abroms Engle Institute for the Visual Arts, hear another short performance and have lunch at the Alys Stephens Center. Teachers also may receive a take home activity that aligns with the Alabama Course of Study. We tailor these “extra” arts experiences to your school schedule. Space is extremely limited for “A Day in the Arts”

Suggested Grades: 1st – 6th
