Blazer Hatchery and Hackathon

This is a past event.

A celebration of the power of entrepreneurship to inspire the next generation and to transform communities and industries with impact and ingenuity.

Competing teams will present entrepreneurial solutions in five-minute pitches, and an experienced panel of judges will select three winning teams. The winners receive $5,000, $3,000, and $2,000 at the pitch gala event. The Blazer Hatchery and Hackathon program cultivates entrepreneurial talent via exposure to real-world problems and opportunities.

The pitch gala event will showcase UAB student talent and offer a unique glimpse into our next entrepreneurial generation.  There will be ample opportunity for networking with entrepreneurs and leaders, food and refreshments, and entertainment.
