The Fight for Medicaid Expansion

Join us for our final event of the year, The Fight for Medicaid Expansion featuring Jane Adams, Campaign Director for the American Cancer Society. 

Jane has been involved in policy work for years. She is the leader of Cover Alabama, a coalition of 140+ organizations working together to pass the expansion of Medicaid in the state. Previously, she was involved in similar campaigns to successfully expand Medicaid in Arkansas. Since moving back to Alabama, she has worked with Alabama Arise, the leading policy organization working to improve the lives of Alabama citizens affected by poverty.  

During this event, Jane will be detailing the complex field of politics in Alabama and exploring where the state is in the Medicaid expansion process, along with showing how people can get involved as constituents for this important cause.
