About this Event
In this month's Brown Bag Lecture Series, Dr. Reginald Jackson, assistant professor in the Department of Music and UAB Gospel Choir director, will present on the rich and robust history of gospel music as it relates to the origin and development of improvisational tools and techniques in gospel music.
The UAB African American Studies Brown Bag: Lecture Series explores and addresses the various issues related to the Black Diaspora. Each month, faculty and scholars will be invited to facilitate conversations on the diaspora and its relevance to contemporary issues.
This event is free and open to the public.
