Join the Lister Hill Center for Health Policy for the final Lunch and Learn event of the semester, Resourcefulness in Rural Healthcare: Optimizing Various Patient Assistance Programs to Improve Health Outcomes in Rural Areas, featuring Dr. Olusunmisola Oyesiku. 

Dr. Oyesiku, often called “Dr. O” or “Sunmi”, is a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician and Women’s Health specialist, practicing at Rural Health Medical Program Inc. in Selma, Alabama where she works as a Primary Care Provider, Mobile Contraception Clinic Coordinator, and the Chief Medical Officer.

Originally from Nigeria, Dr. O graduated from medical school at Windsor University School of Medicine, St Kitts, obtained her MSc in Women’s Health and Reproductive Science at University College London, UK, and then completed her Family Medicine Residency at UAB Selma Family Medicine, Alabama.

She is also the founder and director of Our Community Doc, a non-profit organization that promotes various community outreach programs.
