A Day of Exploration with the Center for Teaching and Learning

Event Description: Come and join us at the CTL and get a taste of the various types of professional and educational development workshops we provide year-round. During this one day intensive you will have the opportunity to complete five different workshops from five different workshop series.

Can't commit to the entire day? No problem! Below is the agenda for our sessions, and we welcome you to attend any specific workshop of interest:

• 9:00-10:30 am - Teaching Effectiveness: Teaching Today's Students
• 10:30-11:45 am - Accessibility: Understanding Your Role*
• 12:00-1:30 pm - Global Awareness: Managing Group Work with Cross-Cultural Savvy*
• 1:30-2:45 pm - Using AI in the Classroom: Introduction to AI
• 2:45-4:00 pm - Mental Health Matters: Course Design with Mental Health in Mind

Please Note: This workshop is designed for current UAB teaching faculty, instructors of record, academic advisors, and other student-facing staff members. Graduate students and postdoctoral scholars are invited to attend the CTL LIFT series workshops instead.
