Center for Teaching and Learning Presents: Taste of the CTL - A day of exploration with the Center for Teaching and Learning
Come and join us at the CTL and get a taste of the various types of professional and educational development workshops we provide year-round. During this one day intensive you will have the opportunity to complete five different workshops from five different workshop series. Can't commit to the entire day? No problem! Below is the agenda for our sessions, and we welcome you to attend any specific workshop of interest:
- 9:00 am - 10:20 am Teaching Effectiveness: Flipping the Classroom
- 10:25 am - 11:45 am Accessibility Workshop
- 12:00 pm - 1:20 pm Global Awareness: Exploring UAB International Student Backgrounds: South Asia
- 1:25 pm - 2:35 pm Blazer Core Workshop
- 2:40 pm - 3:50 pm Using AI in the Classroom: Effective Prompt Generation
Please make sure to register and let us know if you are planning to attend all workshops, as we will be providing lunch for those attendees.
Please note: The UAB Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) presents workshops on teaching practice for UAB faculty (including adjunct instructors), pre-approved graduate students who are currently under contract to teach academic courses at UAB, and teaching staff. Academic advisors and staff who work directly with students are also approved to come to non-teaching focused workshops. CTL workshops are not intended for UAB graduate or undergraduate students.
