Teaching with Technology: What's New with Turnitin

Presented by Kathryn Williams-Walker, Senior Customer Service Manager

Description: Assessing student learning requires moving beyond the final submission to focus on the writing process itself. In this session, discover how Turnitin Clarity and Multipart Assignments empower you to support authentic student growth through scaffolded, transparent writing workflows. You will explore how Turnitin Clarity provides visibility into student drafting, and revision patterns, while offering guided, ethical AI assistance when permitted. Learn how Multipart Assignments let you connect multi-stage milestones, such as outlines, drafts, and final revisions, into a cohesive workflow that incorporates formative feedback at every stage. Hear directly from your peers who have integrated Turnitin Clarity into their courses, sharing real-world use cases, lessons learned, and the impact on learning integrity. Finally, get an exclusive preview of Turnitin’s product roadmap to see upcoming enhancements designed to support the future of teaching and learning.

Please Note: This workshop is designed for current UAB teaching faculty, instructors of record, academic advisors, and other student-facing staff members. Graduate students and postdoctoral scholars are invited to attend the CTL LIFT series workshops instead.

Total CTL Point Value: 10,000 pts
