Please mark your calendar to attend one of Microbiology’s most anticipated lectures of the year  - Susan Roberts Dubay Endowed Lecture.

UAB Department of Microbiology is very excited to host Dr. Michael S. Diamond, Herbert S. Gasser Professor, Departments of Medicine, Molecular Microbiology, Pathology & Immunology from Washington University School of Medicine.  Dr. Diamond will be presenting “Alphavirus receptor interactions: new insights into the first step in the virus infection cycle” as the 2024 Susan Roberts Dubay Endowed Lecturer. Reception to follow in BBRB lobby.

The endowment was established by Susan's husband, Dr. John W. Dubay, her two brothers Dr. John Roberts and Mr. James Roberts, and other family and friends as a way to pay perpetual tribute to Mrs. Dubay and all those she touched throughout her life.

The Department of Microbiology and the whole UAB research community are deeply grateful to the Dubay and Roberts family for their continued generousity in providing resources to mrbing truly outstanding scientists to Birmingham and UAB.
