Students for Human Rights Meeting

General meeting for members or those interested in the Students for Human Rights organization at UAB. Students for Human Rights is an organization of ambitious, compassionate, and active students that are focused on engaging with local, national, and international groups in hopes to learn, inspire, and advocate for human rights. The purpose of the organization is not only to inform their members, but to take that knowledge to tangible spaces where students can engage with the community in volunteering and activism. The average month with be focused on a particular topic and will typically consist of two general body meetings, one volunteering opportunity, and one event with an expert guest speaker.
