About this Event
1665 University Blvd, Birmingham, AL 35233
This event is part of the Sparkman Center for Global Health spring seminar series. It is a part of a series of campus presentations by James A. Bowey in conjunction with his photo exhibition, "Refugees, Empathy and Human Rights." The talk explores the growing challenge of migration and trauma for global public health. Through evocative portraits and first-person stories of refugees, this seminar offers a deep reflection on what it means to be human in a divided world, and the vital role of social connection in public health and our personal and civic lives. Lunch will be served.
