 \nThis event is part of our Earth Month festivities. Earth Day – held an
 nually on April 22 – is a day centered around learning how to appreciate
 \, care for\, and preserve our planet for generations to come. We think on
 e day a year isn’t nearly enough time to celebrate all that the Earth ha
 s to offer and learn how we can contribute to its care. Earth Month dedica
 tes the entire month of April to these concepts.\n\nInterested in environm
 ental education\, conservation\, renewable energy\, and sustainability? Th
 e UAB Solar House – a solar-powered home with its own remote microgrid 
 – was initially designed by UAB students for the U.S. Department of Ener
 gy’s 2017 National Solar Decathlon. Now it serves as the center of commu
 nity education for UAB Sustainability\, offering free tours\, free event/m
 eeting space for anyone in the UAB community\, volunteer opportunities\, f
 requent events throughout the year\, and more!
