Social Justice Café: Maternal Health and Reproductive Rights
About this Event
Hosted in partnership with the Alabama Youth Activist Alliance and the American Civil Liberties Union of Alabama, this Social Justice Café will examine maternal healthcare disparities and reproductive justice across Alabama. The event aims to raise awareness, empower communities, and connect participants with resources that support women in meeting their maternal and reproductive healthcare needs. Speakers include A’Niya Robinson, Policy and Organizing Director at the ACLU of Alabama, and Dr. Danielle Gershon, Assistant Professor in the Department of OB/GYN, Division of Women’s Reproductive Healthcare, at the UAB Heersink School of Medicine.
Our Social Justice Café series is hosted virtually every other Wednesday throughout the academic year on Zoom. Add us to your calendar so you never miss another Social Justice Café!
