Social Justice Café: Labor Rights and Movements
About this Event
Join us for our latest Social Justice Café (SJC) to learn more about the history of labor rights and labor movements and what all this has to do with human rights! Leading this conversation is Dr. Camille Westmont, Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology at UAB and Franklin Kennamer, a representative from the United Campus Workers Union.
Our SJC series is hosted virtually every other Wednesday througout the academic year from 4-5 PM CST on Zoom. Add us to your calendar so you never miss another Social Justice Cafe!
Activities Statement: The purpose of all UAB Institute for Human Rights (IHR) programs, activities, and endeavors is to foster collaboration, scholarly exchange, and academic learning related to human rights.
