#prelawJoin the UAB Pre-Law Program, UAB Department of Theatre, and Redemption Earned for a showing of Greg Kwedar's Sing Sing, an A24 film about a man named Divine G who is imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit and finds purpose by acting in a theatre group alongside other incarcerated men.
There will be a 30-minute panel discussion before the film from 5:30-6:00 pm. The panel will consist of Retired Circuit Court Judge Teresa T. Pulliam, Executive Director of Redemption Earned, Derrick Ervin, Small Business Owner and Redemption Earned Board Director, Dr. Connie Kohler, UAB Professor of Health Behavior, and the Dean of Instruction at Ingram State Technical College, Dr. Butch Young. The panel will be moderated by the Director of Service Learning and Undergraduate Research at UAB, Gareth Jones.
The film will begin at 6:00 pm. Food and beverages will be provided, and all are welcome!
