Honor Sickle Cell Awareness Month with the UAB Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center!

Each Tuesday in September we are hosting a different lunch-and-learn session on topics that can be helpful to both sickle cell patients and sickle cell allies. The month concludes with a virtual candlelight vigil where we honor our fallen sickle cell warriors.

  • September 7: Eliminating Stigma Barriers
  • September 14: Workplace and Classroom Rights for People Living with Chronic Disease
  • September 21: Curative Options in Sickle Cell Disease
  • September 28: How to be an Advocate and Ally for Sickle Cell Disease
  • September 30: Candlelight Vigil
