The Self Care Studio is a collaboration between the UAB Employee Assistance & Counseling Center and UAB Arts in Medicine that offers space for enhancing your creativity and focusing on personal wellness.
May 17 Session: Practicing mindfulness involves breathing methods and guided imagery to relax the body and mind, helping to reduce stress. This mindfulness mediation with AIM Artist-in-Residence Kaylee Cowart focuses on sensation and visualization as we imagine ourselves walking through the forest and growing into trees. Materials needed: Paper or journal, pen/colored pencils.
EACC programs are free and open to employees and members of their immediate household.
