The new University of Alabama at Birmingham's Science and Engineering Complex will be home to the basic sciences. The groundbreaking for the complex will take place at 14th Street South between University Boulevard and 10th Avenue South.
UAB President Ray Watts and College of Arts and Sciences Dean Kecia M. Thomas will deliver remarks.
A brief reception will follow the ceremony.
UAB COVID-19 guidelines for this event require all individuals wear face masks or face coverings while on UAB’s campus regardless of vaccination status.
