Rise Against Hunger

This is a past event.

The UAB Leadership and Service Council invites all Blazer community members to join forces for Rise Against Hunger, a movement to end hunger in our lifetime. The meal-packaging event will take place as part of the LSC's Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.

UAB students, faculty and staff are being called to help achieve the goal of packaging 12,960 nutritious meals to be shipped to countries that are suffering from food insecurity across the globe. Student Involvement and Leadership is asking a minimum of 150 volunteers to register for the event. If you or your organization are interested in volunteering, please register for a shift at the link below:

Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable, mobilizing the necessary resources to end hunger by 2030. This event gives volunteers hands-on experience in leadership development, team-building, relationship-building, creative problem-solving, goal-setting and achievement.
