Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable, mobilizing the necessary resources to end hunger by 2030. This event gives volunteers hands-on experience in leadership development, team-building, relationship-building, creative problem-solving, goal-setting and achievement.

UAB students, faculty and staff are being called to help achieve the goal of packaging 17,064 nutritious meals to be shipped to countries that are suffering from food insecurity across the globe. In order to meet our goal, we need 150 volunteers!

This event will be hosted in the Hill Student Center 3rd floor Ballrooms. You may get dirty due to the rice powder while packaging meals. This is a great event to do in small teams. Typically, we create teams that package meals together. If you have 2-5 friends that want to participate with you, encourage them to register. Visit BlazerPulse to register! If you do not see registration yet, please check back closer to the event date.
