Lunch and Learn: Estate Planning - Do You Have Your Big Three?
About this Event
710 13th Street South, Birmingham, AL 35233
Estate planning is one of the most important steps you can take to protect yourself your loved lones, and your legacy - yet many people put it off until it's too late. This workshop is designed to guide you through the three essential documents that create the foundation of any strong estate plan, oftern referred to as the "Big Three".
- Last Will and Testament - Directs how your assets are distributed, appoints guardians for minor children, and ensures your wishes are carried out after your passing.
- Power of Attorney - Authorizes a trusted individual to make financial and legal decisions on your behalf if you are unable to do so.
- Advance Healthcare Directive - Outlines your healthcare preferences and designates someone to make medical decisions if you cannot speak for yourself.
During this session, you'll gain a clear understanding of what each document accomplishes, why it is critical to have them in place, and how they work together to provide peace of mind. We'll also address common mistakes, the risks of not having these documents, and practical steps you can take to ensure your plan reflects your current needs and future goals.
Whether you are just beginning the estate planning process or need to update existing documents, this workshop will equip you with the knowledge and resources to make informed decisions and take meaningful action.
**To assist with keeping an accurate headcount, there will be a limit of one ticket per registration. Participants must be registered to attend.
