Disability Rights and Resources' mission is to empower people with disabilities to fully participate in the community. They encourage people with disabilities to support one another in reaching their own independent living goals, and also promote equal access and disability rights through advocacy and public awareness activities. Ms. Elizabeth Patton will be speaking about the mission, work, and programs of Disability Rights and Resources including the use of identity-first language when communicating about people with disabilities.
