Update on Treatment of Bipolar Disorder

Objectives:  (1) At the end of this presentation the listener will have an overview of current treatment practices for patients with bipolar I disorder, (2) The listener will be able to discuss the newest guidelines and top choices of medication treatment for mania and depression of patients with bipolar I disorder, (3) The listener will have an overview of the prevalence and course of illness of bipolar disorders, and (4) The listener will have an understanding of the potential uses and misuses of antidepressants in patients with bipolar disorder.
