As the role of the primary care provider grows, it is important to offer our patients and communities the best care possible. This workshop will train primary care providers (adult and pediatric) in common interventions and assessments.
Topics will include:
- basic suturing techniques
- simple abscess incision and drainage procedure
- simple abscess incision and drainage procedure
- subungal hematoma excision
- tick removal techniques
- paronychia incision and drainage
- gynecological exams - speculum, bimanual, vaginal, cervical, and STI screening
- proper instrument handling
- instrument knot-tying methods
