UAB's Environmental Health & Safety team is teaming up with race car driver Joey Gase of Joey Gase Motorsports, LLC; the National Fire Protection Association® (NFPA®); and the Alabama Fire College to educate students on how to reduce their fire risk.

The event includes:

Guidelines for safely charging and storing devices that use lithium-ion batteries (i.e., laptops, smartphones, e-bikes, and e-scooters, etc.)

Tips for using cooking equipment and other appliances safely

Fun activities!
Donate Life Alabama will also be on hand to discuss how you can become an organ, eye, and tissue donor to those in need of a transplant.
