https://uab.edu/awareThe poppy has been a symbol of remembrance and hope, worn to honor service men and women who have fought and died for their country, for more than a century. This Veterans Day, pay tribute to our veterans and armed forces by wearing this powerful reminder of their bloodshed and sacrifice.
Stop by one of the AWARE Disability Management Program's Pop-Up Poppy Stops on November 8 to get a free poppy pin and learn more about the origins of the poppy as a symbol of remembrance. The Pop-Up Poppy Stop will be set up from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in the Administration Building lobby, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Faculty Office Tower 2nd floor elevator lobby, and from 2;30 to 4 p.m. at the Facilities Administration Building. A limited number of pins are available.
