The Play, Paint, & Navigate pre-Convocation event is designed to welcome upcoming off-campus and transfer students by introducing them to the Off-Campus Student Lounge and the Off-Campus Student Council, who are dedicated to supporting the off-campus community at UAB.

This is an interactive social event that provides students with the opportunity to meet fellow off campus students and make new friendships and build a community and sense of belonging as the semester starts. Through engaging activity stations, students can meet new people, relax, and learn more about off campus life and the Birmingham area. Some activities include jeopardy, board games, canvas painting, and others that encourage conversation and connection.
