About this Event
The UAB Research Center of Excellence in Arsenicals Grand Rounds is pleased to announce that Dr. Mary Beth Mulcahy, Scientist at Sandia National Laboratories, will be presenting on chemical accident investigations. Through the lens of the Deepwater Horizon incident, participants will explore how and why workers accommodate current work conditions to achieve success, the gap between work-as-imagined by managers, regulators, and engineers versus the work-as-done by a workforce, and the importance of designing systems to maximize the likelihood of successful human performance.
