Join us for the annual Joint Endocrine Grand Rounds, hosted by the UAB Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and the UAB Department of Surgery. This year, we will welcome keynote speaker Joseph Scharpf, M.D., professor and Vice Chair of Education, Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.
Scharpf is a board‑certified surgeon who serves as Director of Head and Neck Endocrine Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic with Focused Practice Designation in Adult Complex Thyroid/Parathyroid Disease. He specializes in thyroid and parathyroid surgery, head and neck cancer, benign tumors, and skull base surgery. He completed his medical training at Ohio State University, residency at the Cleveland Clinic, and fellowship in advanced head and neck cancer and endocrine surgery at the University of Iowa. Scharpf is widely published, an active educator, and a member of several major professional societies.
This Grand Rounds is available for attendance both in person and via Zoom.
