The UAB Department of Orthopaedic Surgery welcomes Peter Giannoudis M.D., Ph.D., FACS, FRCS, MBE, for a Grand Rounds lecture to discuss "Modern management of severe lower limb injuries." Giannoudis is a professor and section head for Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Leeds School of Medicine in the United Kingdom. He also serves as editor-in-chief of the Injury Journal and the Trauma Case Reports Journal. Giannoudis is president of the European Society of Tissue Regeneration in Orthopaedics and Traumatology, chairperson of the AO Trauma Research Commission, and president of Day One Charity. The event will be virtual and held via Zoom.
