About this Event
1400 University Blvd, Birmingham, AL 35233
https://uab.campuslabs.com/engage/event/8694134Join us for the seventh annual Organized Radical Collegiate Activism (ORCA) Conference. This unique student-led conference aims to address the challenges and advantages of doing social justice advocacy work on college campuses.
This year's conference theme is "Finding Your Why: Sparking Social Change." We hope to empower students to share their stories through keynotes from Dear World and local Birmingham activists. Additionally, ORCA provides a platform for student activists to share their passions with others.
Through this conference, students will have an opportunity to share and present with their peers on advocacy work that students have done on different campuses to tackle social justice issues. Students will share their experiences and work through session presentations (workshops, panels, etc.) to translate what they learn to their campus and community.
