The Navigating Conflict course has been designed to effectively address conflict and directly supports UAB's shared values of Respect, Accountability, as well as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. 

This two-session course will be held Tuesday, November 9th and 16th. 

 

Session I Objectives:

  • Identify causes of conflict to effectively navigate.
  • Describe conflict management approaches and determine when each is most appropriate.
  • Recognize your default conflict style and build competence and confidence across all styles.


Session II Objectives:

  • Identify practical tools to effectively manage and resolve conflict.
  • Review techniques and strategies for having difficult conversations.
  • Apply tools to a case situation.
